Entertaining with a Good Life Lesson

Stanley is a young bug, and he stinks. Today is the first day of camp, and he is nervous. Will the kids like me? Why do I stink? Stanley is nervous, and when he is nervous he stinks.

He tries to make friends, but he gives off an odor so foul, they run away gagging. The camp counselors try to help Stanley, but he still stinks.

It is only when Stanley learns the other bugs accept him the way he is, he isn’t nervous anymore. He also learns why God made him the way he is. When camp is threatened by a Bully Frog it is Stanley’s special and unique ability that saves everyone.

God has made each of us unique and special. In this delightful story of friendship, it is these differences that show God knows what he is doing. A positive and entertaining story with a wonderful lesson on friendship and acceptance.

KINDLE vs. BOOK

On the Kindle, the photos are grayish, and not as entertaining as the colorful book. I recommend purchasing the brightly colored “board book”, for the child’s full enjoyment. However, on the Kindle, the ability for the book to read to the child is a plus, though the robotic voice may be difficult for children to understand.

VIDEO

The video offers a combination of gentle interaction of an adult (Mr. Rogers) with Disney’s animation and the comedic voices of Tim Conway and Don Knotts, adding humor to bring the characters to life.

Note to Author/Publisher

The cost for the Kindle version is too high. (over $5), more than the “board books”. For a Kindle, the price for a 24 page book should be $.99 to $1.99. No more. Plus, the illustrations could have been redone to have more appeal on the Kindle.
