Happiness is Warm Toes

There are 23 pigeons sitting on the wire across the street. Just sitting. A light breeze moves their perch – wings flap, balance maintained. A mist floats in the air. After a week of cold, the warmer temperature is a blessing despite the absense of sunshine. The heater kicks on and I feel warmth creeping into my office. Not enough to keep me warm, I use a heating pad under my feet. Nothing says happiness like Warm toes.

Up early today. Framers were expected but did not show. Perhaps tomorrow. Waiting for my daily ritual of lunch, puppy and Perry Mason. The time must be close – she alternates looking from me to the refrigerator. “Soon, little girl.”

Christmas Hymn playing. Reminds me of St. John’s Cathedral in Spokane, WA. Amazing how sounds and smells evoke emotion. I can almost hear the rustling of people, soft coughs ecohing as each hymn concludes.

I pray everyone achieve peace in their hearts. Peace knowing you are protected, loved and cared for, no matter what you have done, are doing or will do. A joyful Heart filled with peace cannot be described, it must be experienced.
